Hi, prozians, I need to check this. From a travel agency that also organizes corporate events. I supposse the term isn´t “consultant” for it has another meaning. Look, here´s the context: *El socio/consultor* actúa de nexo directo entre la organización del evento y los proveedores locales.Could it be consulting partner?

X/the coordinator acts as an intermediary between
I think "intermediary" is the right word here.
If you don't have the name of the "socio" I guess you coudl say something like:
"The coordinator acts an intermediary between..."
See also http://magicmakersevents.blogspot.com/ :
"Convention Bureaus act as an intermediary between planners and the meeting industry of the destination. They provide information about suppliers for meetings and incentives and introduce the planners to local suppliers. They also assist in obtaining quotes from suppliers and comprehensive proposals from the professional congress organisers (PCOs)and destination management companies (DMCs). "
