Ich habe leider die Erfahrung gehabt dass sehr oft von Firmen für ihre Kataloge und Broschüren Terminologie angewendet wird die aus sogenannte "Machine Translation" raus kommt. Und diesen hier scheints eins von diesen Fallen. Wahrscheinlich von English zu Spanisch?

Danke, Juan. Deine Idee ist vielleicht richtig: Viele Passagen des Textes wurden ganz sicher aus dem Engl. übersetzt.
Im Eurodicautom findet man unter "anillo" übrigens auch: Ring / Schleife / geschlossener Stromkreis.

agree  Herbert Schuster: Dieser "anillo" sollte wohl "circulo" oder so ähnlich heißen. "Altölkreis" finde ich jedenfalls prima.
