Il tipotorace (gen. Typothorax) è un rettile estinto, appartenente agli aetosauri. Visse nel Triassico superiore (Norico - Retico, circa 220 - 201 milioni di anni fa) e i suoi resti fossili sono stati ritrovati in Nordamerica.
