What does doble cubo mean? double cube? 10 to the 6th?

This is talking about the extension of a church and how possibly the architects ego affected the project. TIA

3) El cristianismo tiene la cruz como su máximo emblema religioso. En términos geométricos, este símbolo fue incluido en la época Medieval bajo la forma de un cubo desplegado (ejemplo #1). Muchas catedrales góticas fueron construidas usando las proporciones derivadas de la geometría oculta del cubo y doble-cubo. Los egipcios asignaron el concepto de "retener la proporción" a un área rectangular dedicada a Osiris, dios al que se representaba con frecuencia sentado en un trono cuadrado (nótese otra vez el cubo) en donde el cuadrilátero original y sus gnomon con forma de "L" se ven claramente delineados, no así la construcción geométrica producida por éstos.
