Spanish term or phrase: perspectiva de montaje
Ok so here is my penultimate architectural item that my none-specialist dictionaries haven't been able to cope with:

"perspectiva de montaje"

Original context - description of a church.

The choir stall of this church is surrounded by marquetry and carvings:

"incluyendo un tratamiento en perspectiva de montaje, de forma que las lineas de fuga convergen en el centro geomtrico del coro"

INCIDENTALLY - am I right in assuming "lineas de fuga" are horizon lines?

including a perspective view of the assembly
Explanation:
or "a perspective of the assembly".
Tratamiento en perspectiva is perspective rendering for architects and AUTOCADders, but that's draughtsman's lingo. This simply means a perspective view or "perspective projection" (à la da Vinci, Cf. Last Supper, or better yet, Canaletto, whose Venice was non-existent). "Líneas de fuga" are perspective lines (those imaginary lines that converge behind Jesus' head in the first example). The Horizon Line is only one, the perfectly horizontal one at 0º where all the projected perspective lines meet.

Thank you very much. That is the sort of full answer that makes me so grateful for our little community. For reasons of Spanish flat rates, etc, I usually arrive late for the ball in terms of Kudoz questions, which is why my own tally isn't as high as I'd like. But this sort of unselfish, detailed help is what this is all about for me. May this never become a dollars and cents oriented forum! While people like yourself are still willing to give up their time for nothing more than the "Kudos" - I am filled with hope for the world (well Ok a little exagerrated that last statement... but you can see where I am coming from..)

Thanks again for all your help... and not a piece of eight in sight!
