Spanish term or phrase: pistolas de rueda / llave de rueda
More weaponry. From the description I think I know the type of pistol under discussion. Problem is I don't know what it is called ;-)

Here is more context:
"Las pistolas de rueda fueron inventadas probablemente hacia 1515-1520….[this example is a ] pistola de cañón ochavado en tres órdenes y llave de rueda marcada sobre la plantilla con una erre minúscula incrita por un escudete coronado."

PS Looking at this sentence again I realise that I'm also a little puzzled about "tres ordenes" here. Octagonal shaped barrel in...?? Or triple barrelled? (I think not, eh? But...you never know... Emperors took no chances on that single shot ;-)
