Spanish term or phrase: Mesa (political meeting)
la Mesa para la Integración Social de los Inmigrantes...

I have translated Mesa as Round Table, round table talks, etc. However, is it really OK to say 'the Table has called a new meeting...the Table discussed proposals....' etc - in other words, convert Table into a person, i.e. personify Table??

English translation:committee
Explanation:
According to Oxford Dictionary, it´s a group of people. You would say:
The chairman of the committee( presidente de la mesa). But Simon & Schuster´s translates it as round table (for discussions)Good luck!

Explanation:
Forum for the social integration of the immigrants.
I would suggest the word "forum" even though it will be very tough to put the correct equivalent word in English.Forum is a paltform to discus various issues realting to any topic.
Round Table is also quite plausible. But round table appears to be too political.
