Spanish term or phrase: "La tonalidad queda establecida, aunque guarde resortes del XVIII"
Text about Spanish baroque music, particularly villancicos. Are there any baroque music experts out there? Help!!
Cathy
English translation:"Tonality has been established even when it keeps..."
Explanation:
"...influences from the eighteenth century".
"quedar establecido": to be established, usually by someone or some group or society.
"guardar resortes": to keep or show reminiscences or influences.
I'd like to sing a villancico now:
los pastores se dirigen a las puertas de Belén...ugh! not much of a singer meself
cheers anyway Viva JSB :)

Well it seems there aren't that many baroque music fans out there! Thanks, once again, for the pointers. Keep up the good work, I hope to be able to help you sometime. Bye, Cathy.
