to be off one's rocker, to go off the deep end... Explanation: It's a way of saying that someone's crazy. At least that's the way the expression's used here in Spain. I've also heard it used to mean that someone's been deeply injured by something, conjuring up images of a plane lurching through the sky after having been hit on a wing by a missile. Hope it helps!
