I know that the usual definition is "lectern" but can this also be used in Mexico (for example) as a synonym for "vanidoso"?

Explanation:
lo he oído en Venezuela. Creo que es el único país latinoamericano que lo usa por engreído, vanidoso, etc. Nunca me he encontrado el término en México.
