Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Science - Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) / Molecular biology/microbiology/biochemistry
Spanish term or phrase: diaconcentrado
The text is talking about the effect of a buffer on protein functioning.

Source:
A priori el tampon donde se encuentra la proteína finalmente parece que no influye demasiado en el funcionamiento de la proteína, ya que el lote XXX es un lote que se ha diaconcentrado.

My attempt:
Initially it was thought that the protein buffer had no significant effect on protein functioning, given that lot XXX is unconcentrated.

I have Googled 'diaconcentrado' and the word does not seem to exist. I am at a loss.

It is not a typo as it appears several times throughout the text.

Any help with this term will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks in advance :o)

diaconcentrated
Explanation:
I goggled "diacontentrated" and got 8 hits. I also found a few hits for "diaconcentrate" (as a noun). Admittedly, I don't know what it means, but it's an option.

Apparently when you subject something to diafiltration you end up with a 'diafiltrate' and a 'diaconcentrate'.
