El protocolo es el conjunto de libros formados por folios numerados y sellados, en los que el Notario actúa para asentar y autorizar las escrituras y actas que se otorguen ante su fe, con sus respectivos apéndices, así como por los libros de registro de cotejos con sus apéndices. El sistema de protocolo que consagra la Ley del Notariado del Distrito Federal es la del Protocolo Abierto, es decir, un conjunto de folios numerados, que en principio se encuentran sin empastar pero que siguiendo las disposiciones de la Ley se conforman libros de un máximo de doscientos folios por cada uno de ellos. De cada libro existe un complemento denominado apéndice, en el que se coleccionan los documentos y demás elementos materiales relacionados con los instrumentos que forman parte del protocolo. |
