Bus/Financial / Stock market trading
Spanish term or phrase: aplicaciones en el mercado
Context - financial document describing stock market trading procedures.
It comes up in two main sections: firstly where the document describes that where a large number of securities are to be traded they are often executed in batches at different prices. In order to give the client a single price, the company has to "aplicarse en el mercado".

Secondly, it's also used in the context of cases where the company receives a buy order and a sell order for the same stock and number of securities. The traders can decide to match the orders and "aplicarse en el mercado" at the average price

-> La verdad es que en este caso ambas preposiciones son correctas. Depende del contexto y generalmente escogo . En otros casos, claro, el uso es más restringido.
