From a lease contract, the last wonderful bit: "Y para que así conste, en prueba de conformidad, firman las partes el presente documento, por...........ejemplar y a un sólo efecto".
Can someone tell me what this "........ejemplar" is all about. Thank to you all, you're great dudes

Explanation:
"In witness whereof" is the standard and proper English formula that is equivalent to the Spanish "Y para que así conste, en prueba de conformidad,..." that introduces the signatures at the end of a contract (and whose literal translation is the mark of an inexperienced and/or inexpert translator)...
