"Rug-maker/carpet-maker/tablecloth manufacturer" were good suggestions, based on the various definitions for "tapete", but I still wasn't entirely comfortable putting any of them in for "tapetero". The document, which was about accounting procedures, never actually provided further context - just that lone appearance as a column heading....Thank you both, again, for your help.
