Tom West es su diccionario indica que un "colocador" (de una emisión) es un "Underwriter". Tal vez baste poner esto. Me imagino que debe de haber un término ya "congelado" y consagrado que denote esto en inglés. ¿Alguno de mis doctos colegas me podría ilustrar?

Explanation:
Soy yo mismo. En una "cacería internética" me encontré con que una compañía bursátil había traducido en su propia literatura "intermediario colocador" como "Broker-Dealer Subsidiary" (lo de "subsidiary" lo encuentro rarísimo). Bueno, sólo para hacer ver lo complicado del tema.

P.S. Estoy de acuerdo que "Underwriter" se acerca muchísimo a la definición de esto (en el sentido financiero, claro).
