Medicine?

Explanation:
Dar de alta means to discharge a patient from the hospital/care facility. In other words, the patient's health problem is resolved.
Used together with 'Dar de baja' makes me think that this is not for medicine! Ser dado de baja ...is more likely for the army. ...to be discharged from duty.

Hope this healps anyway
Luis

Explanation:
Hola Ana:
Estoy de acuerdo con los otros traductores. Pero te mando algunas opciones.
Dar de baja: to discharge(business) to cancel, eliminate, charge off (equipment) to drop, to remove.
Dar de alta: to discharge (from hospital)

Discharge: on payment of a claim, a combined form of receipt and acknowledgment by a claimant that he has no further claim against the insurer.
