Spanish term or phrase: cartas de pago
appears in a list of things directors are empowered to deal with... pay bills, make loans and deal with cartas de pago. Can't find any reference to these in my dictionaries or on-line dictionaries I regularly use.

Thanks in advance. Berni

credit cards

Explanation:
Credit cards and the like (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, but also Bancontact, cash withdrawal cards, etc).
Employees are -as you know- often issued a company credit card, which they are entitled to use for paying restaurant bills, airplane tickets, petrol, etc when related to company matters. The directors mentioned in your query are entitled to deal with these matters (accept the expenditures billed by their employees to the company credit card or refuse them, etc).

Don't make it too difficult:-).
