Spanish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
Spanish term or phrase:registro de firma
Taken from bank account opening requirements for Uruguay. Legal entities are required to provide:
Formulario de solicitud de apertura de cuenta;
Ficha de Datos Personales para cada representante y apoderado;
Tarjetas de Firma de cada representante y apoderado; Registro de firma;
Copia autenticada del Contrato Social o Estatutos u otra documentación probatoria de la existencia de la sociedad y constancia de inscripción de la persona jurídica en el registro de comercio que corresponda;
My first thought was that it was some sort of signature card, but that is covered by "tarjeta de firma". Then moving on the LatAm usage of "firma" = "company", a previous question includes this term as "registro de firma personal", but that seems too restrictive for this context, since there is no limit on the type of company that can apply for the account. Then again "company registration" would appear to be covered by the following item in the list "constancia de inscripcion....".
I would therefore appreciate any input, especially from LatAm speakers, to clarify the meaning.
...have been along the lines of signature record - but can anyone explain therefore the difference between the "registro de firma" and the "tarjeta de firma", since they would appear to be the same thing.
