Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Art/Literary - Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
Spanish term or phrase: sin continuidad
"el documental es un proyecto excepcional y único, sin continuidad..."

My ideas so far....
with no follow up, self-contained, stand alone

Or could "one-off" be enough to capture "excepcional y único, sin continuidad". Or is that stretching it a bit?? : )

one-off

Explanation:
I would use all three - "exceptional, unique and one-off" . They all convey something different

unprecedented

Explanation:
No es exactamente "sin continuidad", pero me parece que se refiere a eso

single project

Explanation:
I think they're just defining a documentary, which is indeed a single project or product, and their terminology is a bit repetitive and redundant. You don't really need to provide separate words for unico, exceptional and sin continuidad, in my opinion.

s. below

Explanation:
I see two basic possibilities here:
a) s. c. just more or less repeats what has been stated before in the meaning of "beyond comparison", thus adding to the redundancy of "excepcional y único"
b) it means "without a continuation/sequel (planned for)".

I would opt for (b).
