Spanish term or phrase: Director de obra -v- Director de ejecucion de la obra
I have seen references to both of these terms in previous postings, and both have been referred to as "project manager" or "works manager". Can a native Spanish (from Spain) speaker who specialises in this field please clarify the difference between the two?

The context I have is with regard to areas of insurance, specifically the relationship a party has with regard to the construction process (promotor, proyectista, constructor, director de obra, director de ejecucion de la obra, etc)

La segunda, se ocupa de que los productos tienen las características especificadas y de que los procedimientos de ejecución garanticen que las unidades de obra y las instalaciones alcanzarán las prestaciones esperadas; además de certificar los trabajos realizados y documentar las operaciones de control que sean necesarias.
