Spanish term or phrase: salto térmico
salto térmico del agua de mar en vaporizadores
is the title of this paragraph:
Durante las pruebas de capacidad de cada uno de los módulos dotados de vaporizadores por agua de mar (open rack vaporizers) se medirá la differencia de temperaturas entre el agua de mar a la entrada y salida de los equipos.

Anybody any idea what "salto" means here? Thank you

thermal step
Explanation:
I think this might be your term. "Step" is a possible translation for "salto," according to EuroDicAutom, and "thermal step" does come up in a few references on the Internet with similar context.

The mechanical hysteresis loading curves were measured at
0/1 deg. C and 24/22 deg. C (pre-/post-cruise) and at maximum loadings of 1530 and 8830 PSI. The transducer thermal
response-time was derived from the pressure response to a thermal step-change from 23 to 0 C. (http://sam.ucsd.edu/pacwoce/p01/p01_doc.txt)

Additionally, dynamic thermal-step response tests were conducted
from 26.7 C to 3.4 C, and from 3.6 C to 25.7 C. CTD PRT
temperatures were calibrated to an NBIS ATB-1250 resistance bridge
and Rosemount standard PRT. (http://cdiac.esd.ornl.gov/ftp/oceans/i8ni5ewoce/i8ni05eread....

Hope it helps.
