Spanish to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Electronics / Elect Eng / Electrical specifications
Spanish term or phrase:central técnica
This is a term for some sort of electricity generating station, but what type? It comes from a set of regulations on electrical safety from Colombia.
It appears in a table of symbols, coming just after "Central de Generación en servicio" (generating station) and "Central Hidráulica en servicio" (hydroelectric station) and the full text for the symbol is "Central Técnica en servicio".
If it helps, the symbol for "Central de Generación" is a box with closely spaced diagonal lines and that for "Central Técnica" is a box with the bottom half identical to the "Central de Generación" and the top half white (blank).
Could it be a small station, a part time station...
Will - thanks for the second reference, but this is referring to technical (plant management) and not really (technical plant) management. The section title is "plant management". I am really hoping someone understands what differentiates a "central técnica" from any other power generating station - a Spanish description would be great
