La Cuba es el reservorio en sí y se encuentra a su vez conformado por la cúpula, la cual se apoya sobre las paredes cilíndricas de la Cuba. El fondo de la Cuba es también una estructura del tipo cúpula.
El Fuste se trata de una estructura cilíndrica de sección anular, sirve de soporte de la Cuba y se encarga de transmitir las cargas impuestas hasta la cimentación.
La cimentación es una platea circular y su función principal es transferir todas las cargas al terreno.
