I know this word has been discussed before but I can't seem to figure out what it means here. Thanks for any help.

Debido a que "Bank" concentra su fondeo en depósitos a plazo, que en su mayoría están pactados a menos de 180 días, la entidad mantiene posiciones abiertas en el calce por plazos en los tramos menores a un año, con excepción del período que abarca hasta treinta días.

I found out that in this case the meaning was "matching" rather than hedge.

The translation approved by the client (who has more understanding of these things than I do) was:
Given that X's funding is concentrated in time deposits which, for the most part, are negotiated at less than 180 days, the institution maintains open positions in terms of matching maturities of less than one year, with the exception of maturities of up to 30 days.
