Spanish term or phrase: tipos de jamón
Gracias; thanks to everyone who's still with me on this list of deli meats (Mexico).

Could you take a look at this link: http://www.foodsubs.com/MeatcureHams.html

and see if it suggests any answers on these types of hams: jamón de lomo, jamón tipo americano, pernil, pierna, jamon envinado, jamon holandés. I am guessing that some of these correspond to butt end, hock (shank) end, and other terms from the page above. For example, do you think jamón americano could be Virginia ham?

I also found this link: www.agropecuariaonline.com/PDFS/Carnicos/DisposicionesLegal...

which looks as if it ought to be helpful, but I can't access it Thanks for all your help.

Thanks, especially for pernil & envinado. I'm still in doubt, though, over jamón americano & holandés, as American and Dutch ham aren't terms used in the US (as far as I know).
