Spanish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Forestry / Wood / Timber / Peruvian Timber Industry
Spanish term or phrase:Dir. Dec. Eco. - GOREs y GoLos
This abbreviation features in an Executive Summary on the Timber Industry in Peru. It appears specifically in the key to a diagram concerning the stakeholders in the Peruvian timber industry. The diagram shows a four quadrant matrix of their influence on/interest in timber trade regulation/promotion.
I know that 'GOREs y GoLos' translates as 'regional and local governments'.
However, I am not sure what the Dir. Dec. Eco. means. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks Jane and Phil. It would seem very possible that 'Directorate of Ecological Decrees' is meant. In consultation with my client we decided that the above would be a suitable translation as it would appear that the abbreviations are all of words that begin with the same 3 letters in English and only the Eco. and Dec. needed to change places owing to English word order.
