Spanish term or phrase: tu te mereces
I am told that "tu te mereces" means "you deserve it" so what is the "te" in there for? Shouldn't it just be "tu mereces"? Please explain the grammar behind it. Thanx.

It was only somewhat helpful but i could not find the button for "somewhat helpful". It was only somewhat helpful because he started to answer in English but then, for some strange reason, he switched to Spanish!
