This is a passage was written in the 1950s, describing the physicians before Mexico's health system became socialized.

it was easy to describe his “bigote retorcido y su luenga barba si era viejo...trajeado a menudo de oscuro y aun de levita cruzada, tocado con bombín, calzado con borceguíes de punta aguda, brillante charol y redonda botanadura latera y con su inseparable bastón."
