Spanish to English translations [PRO] Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
Spanish term or phrase:"Cómo nos gusta hacerle al diablo en el panteón!"
This is a phrase at the beginning of a news article from Mexcio. It is part of an opening paragraph which is expressing outrage at recent violence and discrimination against gays on the Metro. I am assuming it is an idiom but can't figure out how I might translate it.
I agree about the sentences immediately following the unknown phrase. They don't seem to mesh. However, the entire style of the article is editorial and personal which may allow the author some creative license. Thanks for checking with your family too - interesting that they couldn't get it either. I'm in good company!
