Spanish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Insurance / Accident insurance for students
Spanish term or phrase:se aplica catálogo
This phrase appears in a school document addressed to parents:
"➢ Aunque los alumnos del Colegio están asegurados contra accidentes, por una suma máxima de $25,000 pesos, los gastos deberán ser cubiertos por los padres, y la aseguradora los reembolsará (menos el deducible de $500 pesos) al recibir la solicitud y los recibos correspondientes; ***se aplica catálogo***. El accidente debe reportarse el mismo día en la enfermería y deben entregarse los papeles en no más de 7 días."
I'm pretty sure that it means something along the lines of "insurance payment limits shall apply," but I'm not sure how this is said in English.
Come to think of it, my suggestion goes right along with what the other translator had. The only difference is that I would include a mention of the printed literature the students are given (el catálogo). I did find several websites in Spanish that mention a "catálogo", but not in English.
"Catalog" it's not a widely used term when it comes to insurance. I think they may be referring to some sort of limitations, something like "as outlined in the brochure", so people have that as a reference of what's covered and what's not, and the rates. I"m not submitting an answer because I'm not completely confident. It would be great if someone else could lend you a hand. Good luck to you.
No, it was originally written in Spanish, and the previously translated version of this same document reads: "insurance payment limits shall apply" in place of where the Spanish version reads "se aplica catálogo".
