Spanish term or phrase: intercambio horizontal en el movimiento
This is a document from Uruguay into US English and this section is talking about knowledge management:

I don't know what to do with "movimiento"...

El conocimiento será gestionado a través de actividades de intercambio horizontal usuales en el movimiento, de una plataforma web y servicios para dispositivos móviles.

I know that "usuales" modifies "actividades" but rearranging the sentence to have "in the movement" at the end of that phrase doesn't make sense to me. How about this?

Knowledge will be managed through the usual movement of horizontal exchange activities, a web platform and services for mobile devices.

Thank you!

Explanation:
The literal 'horizontal' should be avoided here at all costs in my view. I would render it something along these lines...

I'm sure it could be simplified even further, as the idea of the ST is really very simple...

An em-dash (—) could perfectly replace the "i.e." either...

disagree  James A. Walsh: Sorry, but this just makes zero sense! And if you can explain what you've written here (other than the way you haven't!), I'll take my hat off to you!

-> Horizontal interchange would be same echelon as opposed to vertical interchange from higher echelons to lower echelons.
