Spanish to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Employment contract
Spanish term or phrase:complemento funcional
In an employment contract under the 'remuneration' section.
Any ideas on what a 'complemento funcional' is? I originally wondered if it was some kind of performance-related bonus but surely that wouldn't be part of a fixed salary.
Thanks everyone for the help. While I quite liked the 'income supplement' idea, it didn't seem specific enough. I eventually found a description of a 'complemento functional' being a supplement that is paid in relation to a specific job being carried out and therefore opted for 'position-related supplement'.
As I said above, it's from an employment contract. The contract is from Spain but the company is an international bank. I've spent quite a while already trying to research this term in this context on google but keep going round in circles, hence posting the query.
Where's it from (CONTEXT)? It obviously has a specific meaning within a specific system in a specific country, which I would also recommend that you research yourself, then use an equivalent term from the target country (more CONTEXT).
