North Lima

If you should choose North Lima, you would be in good company. The rationale for not translating "Lima Norte" is like that of not translating "Distrito Federal", which is regularly translated.

Sorry, didn't mean to say that there are no valid arguments for leaving place names in Spanish. I meant only to say that there are valid arguments for translating place names.

Yes, could be. Some might argue that "region" is implied. I think you could do it either way.

Often the World Factbook is used as a style manual for these things. The World Factbook does not subdivide Lima, though. The world factbook does give both Spanish and English titles for the high court. Perhaps you will want to put the entire name in Spanish in italics and then in parentheses put the entire name in English. In any case, it appears that if you use the English, you have the option of North Lima or North Lima Region, as you prefer.

I.e., Corte Suprema de Justicia de Lima Norte (Supreme Court of Justice of North Lima).

Lima Norte

I would not translate Lima Norte, located in Peru.
Actually, North Lima is a city in Ohio.

Thank you, Ana, I only translate places such as Roma=Rome, Wien=Vienna, Schweiz=Switzerland, etc. etc. etc. Places not well known are usually not translated.
