In the US the evidence is presented by the parties and marked as exhibits for identification during the hearings. After the parties rest their cases, they can make a motion to "move the exhibits into evidence." Once the hearing officer or judge accepts the motion, the exhibits become evidence and can be considered in reaching the judgment.
