extrajudicial
Explanation:
"Extrajudicial" is broader in definition than "out-of-court." Here is how Merriam-Webster's Dictionary of the Law defines "extrajudicial":

1. Not involving, occurring in, or forming part of a legal proceeding

2. Stemming from something outside of a court proceeding

3. Occurring or arising outside of the course of judicial duties

The expression "out-of-court" is not wrong; it is just that it is mostly used to describe settlements of disputes, so it has a narrower appliction because of the way it has been used.
