My reference (see below), also gives justices' court as well as magistrates' court as translations.

This has also been confirmed by Eurodicautom. The reason I asked was because I had doubts as to whether JP or magistrates court was the correct term. I don't think the other translations are correct. Thanks to everybody.

Take into account that in some countries the minor cases can be resolved by so-called peace-judges (of course, such cases should be almost non-criminal, e.g. parking, some neighbors quarrles, being in odds, etc.)
Judges of that sort are very popular in Eastern couintries.
