Law/Patents
Spanish term or phrase: frente a
no conferirán ningún derecho de crédito frente a X (contract)
keith
English translation:against (the contract x)
Explanation:
Hola, I believe Ybroad and Parrot got it. Above you have the translation based on what I've found on links below. Found links saying "right to credit" too. Link 1: "FindLaw for Legal Professionals... of the City's subrogation interest and the determination of the City's right to credit against future payments of medical aid and workers''..." Now compare that with link 2's: "v | lex - Todo el Derecho en Internet
... la legítima del cónyuge viudo del transmitente no es un simple derecho de créditofrente a la herencia del segundo causante y frente al transmisario mismo ... ". Different contexts, same thing. As colleagues say above, signing that contract does NOT give one party the right to show it as a guarantee to ask for credit elsewhere. That's because the other party does not want to be thought of being involved in any of the other party's business that has nothing to do with the contract (and especially if things go wrong, credit overdue, etc.). Tentative sentence: "No right of credit against the (contract X) shall be granted"...but that depends on the rest of your sentence. Good luck with it, cheerio :-)

as opposed to

Explanation:
It depends on the context. If the rule set forth in your text contradicts the contract than I would use ´as opposed to´.

The Michigan Supreme Court ruled against employers holding that when their is an unreasonable short period of limitation in an employment contract the period to be applied is the one set forth in the statute as opposed to the contract.

Whole phrase:

..will not grant any right of credit/loan as opposed to the contract.

Good luck.
