Spanish to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents
Spanish term or phrase:emplaza y requiere
Por la presente se emplaza y requiere para que notifique al xxx.....
[you] are hereby required to notify [xxx] withing the stipulated timeframe.
Explanation: "emplazar" is to give a certain timeframe to complete anything. It comes from i.e. "Le doy un plazo de tres meses para saldar la deuda" or "Le dieron un plazo de diez días para terminar la investigación." The recipients of those orders have been "emplazados".
