Spanish term or phrase: Jurado de Enjuiciamento
This is a specific name of a body in Argentina. Does anyone have the correct translation of it?
Joan W.
English translation:Blue-Ribbon Tribunal for Judicial and Prosecutorial Misconduct
Explanation:
I remember you from FLEFO. i have been lost for the last couple of weeks doing some conferences in Nashville and Indianapolis.
As far as I know, we do not have an exact equivalent in the US. Esther's (BAQMIA) quote from Cabanellas' dictionary is on target, except that this elite body (see "Composición Permanente" below) also tries prosecutorial malfeasance and misfeasance, as reflected in the quote below taken from Buenos Aires's Ley de Jurado de Enjuiciamiento:

1. Dos (2) miembros del Tribunal Superior
2. Ocho (8) Legisladores/as
3. Seis (6) jueces y juezas
4. Ocho (8) abogados y abogadas.
5. Ocho (8) integrantes del ministerio público.…"

"Art. 16º - CAUSALES

I hope you are doing fine!
