taxable indemnity Explanation: I believe they are meaning that the indemnity or compensation paid would be subject to taxes.... Some benefits are non-taxable, i.e. social security benefits, worker's compensation benefits, etc., but the money this person received as indemnity or compensation is taxable. Just a thought.
