With more than 4,000 workers involved... Explanation: ...in apicultural production, the groundwork was laid for its huge expansion..." The word "apicultural," of course, refers to bee-keeping, honey production, and related activities. If you prefer, you could say "foundations were laid" instead of "groundwork was laid." The sense is virtually identical. -- Hope this helps! |
