As I understand it should be "de Chaquetear (verb)". If this is the case it should be Stripping the Cable from its "covering" (jacket). Cables are commonly Stripped from the dielectric covering for installation and especially when copper (or any other cable conductor) is to be recycled.

It is very difficult to confirm without context.

Asker: Thanks so much for your explanation. It's right on. I am looking for the English-language word for "deschaquetar" and "deschaquetes", the first one meaning to strip the cable from its cover.
