degenerative disorder of the lumbosacral spine in 1 and 2 levels Explanation: Paul, The "AND" in this construction is a bit confusing. I think the levels refer to the lumbosacral spine itself. Each level or segment in the spine provides innervation for a sepcific area. For ex. if only the lumbar part of the spine is considered, the levels/segments are 5, starting from the 12th dorsal level and going towards the sacral area: 1; 2; 3; 4; and 5. Then comes the sacral level 1. In your text it seems that the condition has affected either 1 or 2 levels of the lumbar spine. That's why the "and" between "1" & "2" is a bit odd. It's likely that they meant "1 OR 2". Or, if the "and" is correct, it could be that the condition affects 1 level in one side of the body (for ex, the left side), and 2 levels in the other side (the right side). Suerte Elena |
