Hay un problema de significado entre dos palabras parecidas: "carena" es efectivamente la parte sumergida de una nave, o la reparación que se hace en ella (el verbo es "carenar"); pero "carenado" (o "encarenado") es la "estructura aerodinámica que se añade a la carrocería de un móvil, para reducir al máximo la resistencia que ejerce el aire a su avance".
