Pineal Gland: A cone-shaped structure in the brain, situated between the superior colliculi, the pulvinar and the spenicum of the corpus collosum. Its precise function has not yet been established. It may secrete the hormone melatonin.
Also called epiphysis cerebri, pineal body.

Choroid Plexus: Any one of the tangled masses of tiny blood vessels contained within the third, the lateral and the fourth ventricles of the brain, responsible for producing cerebrospinal fluid.
