Spanish term or phrase: SEMIOLOGíA POR APARATOS
Historia clínica de un paciente.
Semiología de Aparatos aparece como encabezamiento de una tabla.

machine-generated diagnostics
Explanation:
There is such a thing as “machine-based diagnosis,” as opposed to diagnosis on the basis of clinical symptoms. The former is technology-driven and characterizes much of American medicine. The latter is less technology-dependent, is cheaper, and requires much skill, experience, and creativity on the part of the physician.

But "machine-based semiology" is almost a contradiction. What is in the table? Are these lab values? radiology readings, pathology results? These usually go under the rubric of diagnostics. Without more information, I would go for “machine-generated diagnostics.”

In fact, I had no doubt concerning SEMIOLOGíA, but with semiología DE APARATOS. Though I know what it means, my problem was how to WORD it in english. Thank you!

To qualify my earlier answer..."machine-based semiology"

Explanation:
Sorry Bertha!
I should have given you more material to chew on as regards my first answer.

Webster's definition of semiology = "the study of signs and symbols; semiotics."
"Also, semeiology".

Hope this does help you dear:-)

I think everybody knows this word from linguistics cotext but there is also
"semeiotic" that is in medicine field, that is, in the meaning of finding signs of symptoms. signs and indications of a disease. so that is machine based semeiology /semeiotic make sense.

machine-based symptomatology/semeiology

Explanation:
Bertha I apologize profoundly!! Instead of helping you..I probably confused you even more. Looking at the other answers, I realized something was wrong so I checked further. I originally gave you a totally different application for "semiology"...I'm sorry.

The problem is that the more correct word in Spanish would be "Semiótica" (medicina). Funnily enough, my original answer was also correct--except in a different field:-)

Anyway, the Simon & Schuster's gives me the above.

Sorry about the mistake:-)
Regards:-)

machine semiology

Explanation:
That is sufficient, short and what it is used.
MOST of scientific (medical) words are similar in all languages. What one has to do is to look for the meaning in the source language, synonyms, and then look how these are spelled in the target language. In case of scientific texts I would keep as much as possible to the original words ("semiology" exists in English). Likewise, the tendency nowadays is to keep it simple - machine-generated is redundant. The Spanish version was simple, and up to the point, any English speaking doctor would have understand it.
