Medical
Spanish term or phrase: frasco ampolla
It is a glass bottle that contains a drug in powder form to be mixed with saline solution for injection. Its cap is a rubber stopper surrounded by an alumimun ring. It's neither an ampoule nor a bottle, but a combination of both. Is there a word for this? Thanks.
LaBern

ampolla=ampulla

Explanation:
According to F. Ruiz Torres:
"ampolla= ampulla. Pequeño vaso de cristal que puede cerrarse para que el contenido se mantenga estéril."

But I agree with Claub22 that "vial" is probably a very acceptable and better known term.
