Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Cardiology
Spanish term or phrase: Dx
This is from the cardiovascular history of a patient with unstable angina:

Debut en abril 1996 primer cateterismo: EAC 2 vasos (DA60%, Dx 70% y DP 70%). ACTP sobre DA complicado por IAM anteroapical peri-procedimiento; ACTP sobre DP en 2 tiempo.

So, DA = LAD and DP = PIV, but what is Dx? Is is a diagonal branch? If so, which one?

Thanks!

English translation:diagonal
Explanation:
Just looked up Dx in Cosnautas, and indeed they show that "diagonal" is one of the possible meanings of Dx.

I posted my comments above thinking that "diagonal" would only be abbreviated as "Dg" or "DG"

You should definitely use cosnautas ... it's a tremendous resource. for Spanish medical acronyms: www.cosnautas.com

Thanks Joseph and thanks for the resource. Every time I looked up Dx with 'arteria' in google I got Italian refs for obvious reasons! Anyway, you were right about it being 'diagonal' - it comes up later as 'D1'.
