I can't find anything even approaching “endocular nails”, although a JAMA abstract (https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaophthalmology/article-a... on mechanical retinal fixation in rabbits mentions metallic retinal tacks and biodegradable mechanical retinal fixation devices called biopins. However, I don't know if this applies to humans. Thoughts?

intraocular tacks

Tacks were found to cause fibrovascular reaction when used for rhematogenous retinal detachment (Ohira et al., 1991). Severe proliferative reactions and retinal detachment were induced after
intraocular tacks application (Algvere and Jahnberg, 1990). In conclusion, there is so far little evidence that the utilization of tacks is safe and efficacious.
